Objectives
In this course, you will become familiar with the following:
- To understand the basics of SolidWorks
- To use sketching concepts for Basic Part Modeling
- To use features for 3D Solid Modeling including Extrude, Cut, Loft, Sweep, Fillet, Chamfer, and Shell
- To use advanced modeling tools including keyboard shortcuts, Hole Wizards, Patterns, Mirroring, Threads, Ribs, and Drafts
- To create an Assembly 3D model, an Exploded Assembly 3D model, and a Bill of Materials (BOM)
- To edit an Assembly Model including using the Design Library and the Design Checker
- To use features for Sheet Metal Modeling including a Base Flange, an Edge Flange, a Sketched Bend, a Corner Trim, a Hem, and Vents
- To convert Solid Models to Sheet Metal
- To apply and remove materials, appearances, and scenes
- To create drawings from within Part Models
