Description
In this introductory 3ds Max course, participants will learn about 3ds Max environment and its controls, create and manipulate primitives and 3D models, apply and modify materials, animate 3D models, and illuminate and render 3D models. 3ds Max is the standard for architectural visualization in the architectural and interior design industry. This course will be using the 3ds Max Arnold renderer as a basis for the course.

Objectives
In this course, you will become familiar with the following:
- To understand and navigate the 3ds Max workspace
- To use standard and extended primitives in 3ds Max
- To apply a 2D floor plan bitmap image onto a reference plane in 3ds Max.
- To use the AEC Objects to model a 3D floor plan in 3ds Max.
- To import 3D models into 3ds Max.
- To control texture using UVW mapping.
- To create materials for AEC objects, specifically for walls, windows, doors, and stairs
- To create photorealistic materials
- To apply lighting to scenes
- To create a walkthrough animation
